First thing to know is that two versions of the Product exist, to know an Evaluation Version and a Production Version. The only difference between them is speed and serialization format. We offer several free license options for the Evaluation Version, whereas the Production Version only has paying licenses. For the exact conditions we refer you to our License Agreement, also accessible via the download page
Free Distribution License
We owe many thanks to the distributors of software and other shareware sites, and they deserve this special license option to enable them to do their work.
(see license terms)
Free Development License
We value your development effort high enough to not force you to invest extra money in licenses for your developpers. Once your product is ready, their are three options.
(see license terms)
Free Evaluation License
This holds the usual free 30 day evaluation period, though for a "programmers" product like ArciMath BigDecimal this option is mainly meant to allow shareware developpers to distribute their software without investing their money in ArciMath BigDecimal licenses beforehand: the programmer should work under the Free Development License, while his end users are granted a Free Evalutation License to test his software with ArciMath BigDecimal (see also Free Development License). But still, end users that have software using java.math.BigDecimal or com.ibm.math.BigDecimal can under this license test that software with ArciMath BigDecimal by a minimal change to the sourcecode, if they have access to it, or by an equally small change to the .class file's bytecode if they dare. You can find out the required changes in the installation instructions.
(see license terms)
Single User License
Allows a single individual to use ArciMath BigDecimal. You should purchase Single User Licenses for each regular user of ArciMath BigDecimal.
(see license terms)
Concurrent User License
Allows one unspecified user at a time to use ArciMath BigDecimal. You should consider Concurrent User Licenses as a pool from which occasional users of ArciMath BigDecimal can draw one while needed. The number of concurrent users, not counting the users holding a Single User License, should not at any time exceed the number of purchased Concurrent User Licenses.
(see license terms)
Redistribution License
This allows you to distribute your software that uses ArciMath BigDecimal without paying any further per copy royalties.
